Finished making the scabbard for my P07 Bayonet. It's a tube of felt with craft foam outer. I had been trying a PVA and tissue approach but decided craft foam would be easier and less liable to break.
Fixed the leaky mag on my SMLE.
And managed to catch up on sleep by getting 14 hrs. Still got 6 days of the week I booked off for Hockwerk and so far I have achieved half of the stuff I had planned. Tomorrow I might do some sewing as I have a 2nd Aussie water bottle carrier to make, the felt also needs re-sewing on the bottle and 2/31st insignia to sew onto my Aussie jacket ready for Copenhagen.
Hopefully the book I ordered off Amazon will arrive before I run out of stuff to do.

Well someone despite extensive game preparation forgot to check how much blanco he had left 
so I am likely to be up on charges 
...remembered webbing is meant to be blancoed. I think I last blancoed my NWE webbing in... er... 2008? Can't see me doing it this week. It will have to have a "lived in" look.
My blanco mostly got washed off in the drenching we had on the crossing and landing...

Well technically yesterday, I took Matilda (my Ironairsoft SMLE) to a skirmish. I set off by bicycle with a sten gun, ammo etc in a backpack and Matilda in a canvas valise bag securely strapped to the side at 6am. Across Bristol and down the Avon Gorge, under the suspension Bridge to Avonmouth and then along the cycle paths to Portishead. The last bit to Skirmish Portishead was rather a slog with such a heavy load in that heat, mainly pushing the bike up the hill. The view was worth it, with clear visibility all the way to Cardiff.
My Aussie jungle impression was perfect for a woodland site in the hot weather. Matilda didn't like it though. It seems in the heat, the gas pressure was too high for the hammer to effectively depress the gas release valve so as the day went on, there were more and more misfires. Luckily I had my sten as a backup. I guess I shall have to get some 144a gas.

try a gas with lube in it , it sometimes is called maintenance gas , it help's with my mac11 on hot days as it has lass pressure and silicone lube in it . it's quite rare to get that much pressure that the release valve won't open but it does happen .

I have now disassembled the whole bolt assembly and given the hammer a polish to remove any roughness. I believe others have added a washer to improve spring tension so I may do that when I find a washer the right size. Already though shooting is crisper.

Well, Tuesday actually, mullered the barrel /hop of a VSR to squeeze it in to the stock of a Mle 1916 Berthier. There ain't much wood left on the top of the handguard either.
